Inn is the perfect choice for a quiet, romantic getaway in Southern
Vermont - More than a
bed and breakfast, our guests say we are like a small European
style or boutique hotel, with the amenities, luxury and gourmet
cuisine
of a larger property, and the classic style of a Vermont country
inn. The Restaurant is
open to the public as well as house guests and we offer several dining
options from casual fare to
a tasting menu. During your
stay you may choose to dine by the fireplace in our dining room, casually
in Lucy's Tavern or outside, under the stars on the deck. Our
cuisine is focused on local products. Chef's signature 'Verterra'
menu showcases the products of the season and is the very best way
to experience the wonderful products Vermont has to offer. Our
Wine List offers a wide selection of wines from around the
world in a wide range of prices. We are the recipient of The Wine Spectator
'Award of Excellence' and recently won a Sante Magazine Culinary Arts
award for 'Sustainable Cuisine'. We would be happy to send you to visit
some of our area farms - just ask!
The
Rooms are uniquely
decorated. There are rooms for
many tastes and budget with many of our
rooms featuring fireplaces, jacuzzi, sitting
rooms and roof decks. Each room has a private bath, wonderfully soft
towels, a featherbed, cozy robes and slippers. Each room is equipped
with a TV and phone and most have DVD players. We have an excellent
'classic' DVD collection for you to select from at no charge!
Relax
in our brand new therapy room - enjoy a massage after
your day's activities. Just call ahead and set up your massage time
before you arrive!

Enjoy
a drink in our Tavern at
the end of the day, or research tomorrow's activites on the internet
in the parlor. Afterwards, you can have dinner in either our Tavern or Dining
Room. Perhaps you will meet
the chef baking bread in the original 1792 beehive oven right
in the front entry (once the original kitchen)!

inn is centrally located, just minutes from Okemo, Ascutney,
Ludlow, Chester, Woodstock and
the Connecticut River - so easy
to find and so much to explore
and experience. Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend
in Vermont, an Okemo Ski and Stay package or a gourmet getaway - it

you choose to explore our area trails on foot or horseback, bike,
